Tasty Whole Wheat Linguini w/ Creamy Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce
Looking for a twist on your favorite pasta dish? Try substituting your regular noodles for whole wheat pasta, and changing up the sauce. Making your own homemade sauce with fresh ingredients will eliminate all of the extra sodium and additives you find in jar sauces. This whole wheat linguini with creamy sun-dried tomato sauce is tasty and easy to make. Try it and let me know what your family thinks!
Ingredients

- 1 pound whole wheat linguini pasta, uncooked
- 1 cup sun dried tomatoes, julienned
- 2 large cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt
Steps
1. Add salt to a large pot filled with water, and bring to a boil. 2. Add whole wheat pasta and cook for about 6 minutes or until just under al dente. 3. Reserve 1 cup of starch water from pasta pot, but drain the rest and set aside. 4. In a skillet, add the olive oil and tomatoes and heat for about 3 minutes over medium heat.
