Kick Your Summer Into Gear with British Soccer Camp

When summer vacation rolls around, everyone is excited about the freedom they will enjoy. The problem comes about a week in, when our kids start claiming they are bored. With so many camp options out there, I always look for ones that will hold their interest and get them active. This summer, my son had the opportunity to participate in a week of British Soccer Camp with Challenger Sports in exchange for our honest review. Our camp was located at the local YMCA on their outdoor soccer fields. British Soccer Camps are offered for boys and girls from ages 3-18 years old, and our group consisted of boys ages 4-7 years old.  The enrollment fee included a t-shirt and a ball for all of the players, and we also purchased the replica jersey that was offered.  Each day, Coach Josh led the group in fun games and drills and taught them new skills while building on existing ones. Spunk came home hot and sweaty every day, but was always grinning from ear to ear. It was great to see everyone engaged in physical activity and having a great time. They all got in a good workout and learned the value of being active. As a mom, I appreciate any opportunity for my kids to not just spending the summer playing video games and watching tv. I was impressed by all of the trick names they knew and could demonstrate by the end of the week. According to Spunk, a week was simply not enough and he did not want the week to end! Needless to say, we will be looking for more soccer camps and lessons from Challenger Sports during the school year and next summer.
