Georgia Swarm Buzzes into the Championship
We recently had the opportunity to attend Game #2 of the Georgia Swarm of the East Division Finals. This was our first professional lacrosse game, but Spunk and I were ready for a new adventure. I had no idea just how much fun we would end up having at the game!
Georgia Swarm Playoff Game
Game #2 was played at the Swarm's home field ("The Hive") inside the Infinite Energy Arena. Parking is free at the Infinite Energy Center and is only a short walk to the doors. This was lucky, because the sky opened up as soon as we parked and we had to run to keep from getting soaked.
Inside the arena, the energy was unmistakable. Fans were decked out in Swarm gear, and "buzzing" around as they waited for the game to begin. A live band played in the main area, and spirit wear was for sale as well.
The game was amazing and very fast paced. My favorite part about the whole night was the atmosphere. The crowd was attentive and cheering, clapping their Bam sticks together, singing, and dancing to the awesome music. We both had a great time, and I can honestly say that this was the most fun I have ever had at a sporting event. Sitting in the club level of the arena meant that we were a little further away, but had the best view of the field. It was easy to follow the ball up and down the field, and I would definitely recommend purchasing tickets that allow a full view.
